The waterfall, known as Gadih Ranti, crashes into the water below, creating small foam bubbles around it. Uniquely, this location features different levels and various waterfalls. This is because the place not only showcases the beauty of nature but also the stunning charm of the waterfall itself. Around the waterfall, lush green plants grow, enhancing its natural beauty. The water flow in this area is not too strong, allowing visitors to safely enjoy playing in the water. In addition, the Gadih Ranti bathing pool, located above the waterfall, adds to the appeal of the area. Gadih Ranti Waterfall is surrounded by several smaller waterfalls, and along the way to the location, tourists are treated to scenic views of the hills and fresh, cool air.

In addition to its clear, clean, and cool water, there is a bathing pool here called the Gadih Ranti Pool, located above the waterfall. According to local folklore, there was once a young girl named Gadih Ranti, who was known for her captivating beauty and long hair. Gadih Ranti would always use this pool as her bathing spot. Gadih Ranti is also said to have once ruled the surrounding region. During her reign, she built many monuments and public facilities, such as palaces, mosques, and various inscriptions. This legend has become a unique attraction for visitors, drawing them to the waterfall. As a result, the waterfall has become well-known in the Agam Regency and its surrounding areas.

Gadih Ranti Waterfall is located in Nagari Tanjung Sari, Tanjung Raya District, Agam Regency. Access to the waterfall can be reached via the border of Jorong Dama Gudang and Jorong Arikia, which are not far from Lake Maninjau. This tourist spot is approximately 1.6 km from the Lubuk Basung-Maninjau main road.

To reach the location, visitors need to pass through Sao-Arikia road and walk along a footpath for about 500 meters. Therefore, for those planning to visit, it's recommended to bring a motorcycle. However, if you're physically fit, you may also bring a car, but be prepared to walk a longer distance to reach the waterfall.
